You will meet your professional guide after sunset at the Mirador del Sollarete in San José. After a short presentation you will be provided mats and flashlights and set off on your starlit adventure. The viewpoint will be the first stop, and it provides a breathtaking panoramic view of the bay of San Jóse, the cliffs of Cabo de Gata and the highest mountain of the region. From there, you will walk along the coast in total serenity, before reaching Los Genoveses beach. Throughout the journey your guide will interpret the landscape talking about the history of the Natural Park as well as the flora, fauna and volcanic origin of the area. Participants will also learn how to use the sky and the stars to get their bearings just like ancient explorers and astronomers. At the beach you will lay out your mats, listen to the sound of the waves crashing against the shore and gaze up into the stars. Your expert guide will introduce you to the world of astronomy and stargazing, teaching you how to recognize the main constellations and the mythology surrounding them.

After finding the meeting point, receive an introduction to the world of astronomy and stargazing from a specialized guide. Learn how to locate the North Star, the main constellations, and how to differentiate objects in the night’s sky. Relax with a mat, blanket, and pillow and gaze up at innumerable starts above the Mediterranean coast. Hear the mythical stories that are narrated about the most famous constellations. Departure by yacht from the port of Carboneras, which is the gateway to the Cabo de Gata Natural Park. Next we will see the impressive volcanic reef of Mesa Roldan with its spectacular Lighthouse and the beautiful beach of Los Muertos. Cormorants and seagulls are very common on this island. After rounding Cape Javana we discovered the hidden pearl of Cabo de Gata The famous beach of San Pedro, the medieval castle that presides over it is in ruins and has a source of crystal clear fresh water. On the beach we will find a fun hippie atmosphere, with very unique and fun people. On this beach the boat will drop its anchor so that they can enjoy a very refreshing bath and without having snorkelling equipment enjoy the richness of the Posidonia seabed. We will also find very friendly fish that will not mind swimming with us if we give them some bread or chips. If you bring drinks or food, these are welcome on board the boat and at this stop it is time to enjoy an unforgettable appetizer at sea. Once this stop is finished, we will begin the return to the port of Carboneras and we will try to go further from the coast to contemplate the Natural Park of Cabo de Gata in its immense and incomparable Mediterranean beauty and also, since we will go further from the coast, we will try our luck to try see some cetacean like dolphins or Calderones. And after 4 hours of sailing in our modern and comfortable yacht, our skippers will arrive again at the port of Carboneras where this unforgettable experience will end. The boat is adapted for people with reduced mobility or wheelchairs. Pets are welcome. Points of geological and biological interest.
