Before you head to Bar Harbor, download the Action Tour Guide app. Make your way to Bar Harbor Pier and begin your adventure. Head west and hear about Bar Harbor’s early days as a fishing town and its transformation during the Gilded Age.

Cross a land bridge to the beautiful, untouched Bar Island before heading to the West Street Historic District. Marvel at the majestic homes dating back to the Gilded Age. Take a picture of La Rochelle, an extravagant Gilded Age mansion now functioning as a museum.

Continue to the Primrose Inn and hear about a fire that ravaged the town before strolling past the Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, St. Saviour's Episcopal Church., and the Jessup Memorial Library. If you wish, buy a ticket to the Abbe Museum and find a collection dedicated to the Wabanaki people. Then, relax in the Village Green, designed by the same woman who created the White House Rose Garden.
