Full description
Treat yourself to an amazing tour to explore one of the icons of Cagliari, a natural monument rich in history and rare endemic species. This excursion will lead you to the Devil's Saddle area: legend has it that the particular shape of this limestone headland comes from an epic fight between angels and demons that took place in the skies over the Gulf of Cagliari. During the fight, Lucifer was unsaddled by his horse and lost his saddle, which fell on the land, giving it its particular shape. This picturesque tour will allow you to discover closely the colors and the smells of the endemic species and to admire wonderful landscapes and a comprehensive view of the island's southern coast, from Capo Carbonara to Capo Spartivento. Along the way, you will find several fossil remains as well as historical and archeological relics; evidence of the human settlement in this area. Furthermore, admiring the view rich in spectacular photografical points, you will have the chance to enjoy the charming coastal landscape of Cagliari. Finally, the tour will also allow you to choose the difficulty of the path you think is more suitable to your needs: from the touristic difficulty excursion (T) to the hiking difficulty excursion for more expert guests (EE).

What a unexpected journey

We wanted a "different" tour in Cagliari, little did we know that we would get a hugely exciting and beautiful tour with stunning views, botany, archeology, culture and general camaraderie and information from our guides (also some extra new years sweets baked by one of the guides sisters thrown in)! Really this is a trip for anyone who really wants to see the beauty of Sardinia including its rich history, lore and nature. It was clear they could easily adjust the tour for any sort of fitness level, but being moderately fit, we had no issues with getting about.
