Great half day wine tour. Our guide, Franco, drove us around Cagliari, showing us some of the beautiful sites before driving us into the hills to a small boutique winery. We received a short but nice tour of the winemaking facilities and the vineyard. We enjoyed a wine tasting of local varietals, accompanied by a bounty of local bread, meats, cheeses, olives, etc. We returned to Cagliari after the tasting.

Giuseppe Lecis was a most wonderful host. His vineyard and land that was started by his father , high on top of a mountain was spectacular. The grapes struggle on this mountain side but produces his great wine You have great wine, meat and cheese Board and special treats of sun dried tomatoes, marinated peppers, olives, the special flat bread with olive oil, sapa for the cheeses. The winery has a great history of cement wine tanks brought up from an old town The ride from the city was great. Wir waren mit Franco unterwegs, er ist ein toller und sympathischer Guide, bei dem man sich wohl gefühlt hat. Die Tour war sehr interessant, man hat viel über das Land und die Menschen erfahren. Höhepunkt der Tour ist die Besichtigung des Weingutes von Guiseppe. Es wird alles vom Weingut erklärt und dann genießt man in geselliger Runde Wein, Käse und Brot und weitere Köstlichkeiten. Hier lernt man italienische Gastfreundschaft hautnah. Es wurde viel gelacht und es hat uns sehr viel Spaß gemacht. Nicht vergessen darf man Hund Spike, der bei allen gut ankam.
