Full description

Hike Caminito del Rey, a suspended walkway surrounded by a scenic landscape, with a guide on a trip from Málaga. Along the route, learn the real story behind the construction of this great work of engineering.

Hop aboard a bus from Málaga and travel to Ardales. Receive a safety briefing from your guide and strap on your helmets. Start the one-way hike of Caminito del Rey at the North access and make your way to the South access.

Pass by mountains that emerged millions of years ago and vertical canyons born by the force of the Guadalhorce River. Listen to stories of adventurers and climbers. Hear about the visit of one of the most powerful men in the history of Spain, King Alfonso XIII. The trail has a length of 4.8 miles (7.7 kilometers) but is a simple walk, especially with your guide keeping you company. At the end of the trail, return to your bus and be driven back to Málaga.

Beautiful drive up to the hills to the hike . A bit slow to get going , they could shave off an hour if we didn’t have to wait so long for our helmets . Also there IS bathrooms when you get there ( just not during the hike ) and food and drinks after as well !! . But the views and the experience was amazing and Louis the guide was funny and informative

Our meeting point was at the main train terminal where we boarded a nice coach. Journey time is approximately 1 hour. We were amazed by the spectacular view of the area. The commentary from our very knowledgeable guide added colour to the whole experience. As with all outdoor pursuits, you are reliant on the weather and we were very lucky in that respect.

The experience is incredible. Definitely worthy of waking up a bit earlier even if you’re on holiday! I would suggest not to miss it! If you want to do incredible pictures I would suggest to bring a lanyard to attach to your phone Our guide, Luis was amazing! Explain us the history of the place without making it boring and throwing some jokes in the process. Absolutely recommended!!!
