2. Las Palmas: Gran Canaria Coasteering Tour

Combine the fun of climbing, rappelling, jumping, snorkeling and swimming in one on this journey between the sea and high cliffs. This multi-adventure sport is specially designed for you to cool off in summer while enjoying entertaining exercises in a unique environment. Experience coasteering without any previous experience, as you will be provided wetsuits and a life jacket. The only requirements for you are to be in good physical condition, know how to swim and not be afraid of heights or the sea. For the activity, go to Tiritaña, a small natural beach with black sand and moderate waves located between the towns of Tauro and Puerto de Mogán. This bay-shaped beach stands out for its natural environment and in it are framed high cliffs and incomparable crystalline waters. Start from Las Palmas de Gran Canaria at 8:30 AM and move to Mogán, traveling the South Highway for approximately 1 hour. Once you reach the starting point, Playa Medio Almud, and equip yourselves with wetsuits and other material. Then, begin a 25-minute hike to Tiritaña coast, the main coasteering base. Review the material and undergo an explanatory briefing to understand the use of the equipment. Begin with a lateral progression on the cliff, with a few basic steps until you reach the first jump points into the water. Later, a more challenging section will appear, composed of a “Chain Bridge” which progresses to a magnificent cliff. Once there, feel pure adrenaline doing a “Rappel 20 meters high”. While you wait for your turn to rappel, you can snorkel and admire the colored fish that inhabit the area. Through the same place, visit a place known as Stone Bridge, ideal for having your own picnic lunch. Once this section is finished, begin a 15-minute walk passing through a small beach. Finally, arrive at the parking lot, deposit the equipment, dry off and dress in fresh clothes to start the journey back to Las Palmas de Gran Canaria.
