Full description
The best way to explore the underwater world of Cancun is, no doubt, by scuba diving. Learn to dive for the first time with a professional diver and discover the wonderful sea life of the Mexican Caribbean. Choose between visiting the colorful Manchones Reef or the mysterious Underwater Museum of Art, also known as MUSA. Both diving locations are home to hundreds of tropical fish, corals, starfish, turtles, and rays. Manchones is a shallow reef located close to Isla Mujeres (Spanish for Island of Women). It’s very common to see turtles here as well as lots of other colorful reef fish and sea life. The Underwater Museum of Art (MUSA) consists of two main locations. The deeper section is great for diving while the shallower part is great for non-divers and snorkelers. During your MUSA dive, see over 450 life-sized statues which are now covered with algae and the coral reef. This man-made reef attracts all kinds of underwater life: the crevices of the sculptures provide great hiding places for fish to breed and inhabit.
