A DREAM! We did so much in one day it felt like three! Unfortunately, the time in Las Colaadas was very limited, which the guide attributes to the extremely hot weather. Although it wasn't listed in our booking, we went from there to a lagoon tour in the middle of the Mexican jungle and then we were able to swim in the Gulf of Mexico. Finally we drove to Ek Balsam and were able to climb the old ruins. All in all a great day! Our guide Celso was very helpful and always responded to extra requests to make everyone happy :)

Long day, but no souvenir shops, thanks for that. Ek Balam or Cenote in the morning, you have to choose, we wanted Ek Balam, great place, all Ruins allowed to climb on. Pink Lakes are technical and not of much interest, not allowed to take pictures by normal cameras. And very hot near. Rio Lagartos are good boat trip, lots of birds. Lunch was good, drinks not included.

Good day out - very tiring!

A bit too expensive IMO! Also, this is a very long day out with lots to see and do (picked up at 6am and dropped off at 11pm) but I do think it’s worth it. Ek Balam and the pink lakes are both breath taking, and the boat trip was incredible fun. There were 3 tour guides for our large group and all were very helpful. I was a little disappointed as thought I had booked an English tour but other than the guides, I was the only English speaker on the trip in a group of around 40-50 people. My tour was also combined with another tour, which didn’t include Ek Balam. There was a lot of confusion over this and it didn’t seem well organised. It meant we were waiting around for 30+ mins and I was twice almost sent with the other tour when I knew I had paid for Ek Balam! I would urge the tour company to get slightly better organised in this aspect. Other than that, the rest of the day was brilliant. The guides even made sure the seafood restaurant catered for my gluten free and vegetarian diet!
