What people are saying about Caniço, Portugal

Our driver Antonio picked us up in Canico with a little delay. There were 4 of us in the Range Rover which was perfect. From there we went to the various viewpoints. At the beginning he still had to warm up to us, but that quickly subsided and we had a lot of fun. The off-road route in particular had it all. We were shaken up a lot and almost missed the abyss. In Santana we had a 1.5 hour stay to eat and explore. We hadn't taken any food with us and looked for something in town. Then we went to a rum factory, where we could try and buy rum. From there we went to our last stop, Ponta de São Lourenco and then back to the hotel. We were out and about from 10:00 a.m. to around 4:30 p.m.

Great experience with a friendly guide who was very motivated to do this tour himself and always had a casual saying up his sleeve. Pickup and transfer back to Caniço went smoothly. The sections of the tour were real highlights (the time at the Pico de Arrieiro might have been a bit tight) and the off-road part was really fun! One should not be afraid of being shaken vigorously. In the sugar and rum factory we were able to taste different types of rum. And finally we enjoyed the breathtaking view over the northeast coast of Madeira from the Miradouro do Caniçal.

The tour was a very nice experience! We saw a lot of traditional things of Madeira and all the time you had very beautiful views over the island and the sea. The Guide was very nice to us over trip and he also made sure that we are doing well all the time! The lunch we had was very good and we had the most beautiful view we have ever seen from our table. If you visit Madeira it's one of the best things you can do because you see nearly everything you have to see. I would definitely recommend it to everyone!

The trip from start to finish was great , off roading was like being on safari the views were amazing, the vineyard and wine tasting excellent. Great way to see some of Madeira! Our guide was excellent very informative and a great driver!
