Full description

Book your round-trip ferry tickets in advance for a visit to Ste. Marguerite Island from Cannes. As soon as you disembark on the island, you’ll be captivated by the fragrance of pine and eucalyptus. Follow the marked trails that take you on a botanical and historical tour of the island. The walk takes you by Batéguier Pond, where numerous species of migratory birds can be seen, and to the Pointe de la Convention, where you’ll find unique plant species. Continue on to Fort Royal, the former residence of the legendary Man in the Iron Mask. The Maritime Museum, sheltered within a fortified enclosure, also offers an invaluable insight into the area's history. Dogs are welcome on board the ferry, and on Sainte Marguerite Island, provided they are on leash.

Island that deserves to be visited both for the fort with the cell where the prisoner with the iron mask was imprisoned, and for the crystalline water on which to swim. The island can only be explored on foot. Better to bring food and water because there are only two kiosks at the arrival of the ferry or two restaurants that must be booked well in advance

Great little island for walking and enjoying nature away from the hustle and bustle in Cannes etc .. Were there at the end of January 2020, it was wonderful weather, restaurants only open from April, there are no drinks or snacks until then, be sure to pack food for the trip !!

the island is beautiful, we visited with our 4-years old son in late January and also spent nice time there. Except for the Royal forth, you can walk around in the nice nature, around and in the island. You can spend there 1 hour or 4. Just take some food and drink with you if you go off-season, there are no restaurants or shops open. The only disappointment was, that we bought tickets via GetYourGuide for our son as well, because there was written "children 4-12". However, later I found original web-pages of the ferry company, where you can buy tickets slightly cheaper and olso "children 5-12". So 4-years old are free :-(
