Full description
The Cape Peninsula is one of the most spectacular routes you can experience, and on this half-day tour you will get to see all the unspoiled beauty surrounding this lush area. The Peninsula itself is a generally rocky peninsula that juts out for 47 mi (75 km) into the Atlantic Ocean at the south-western extremity of the African continent. At the southern end of the peninsula are Cape Point and the Cape of Good Hope. On the northern end is Table Mountain, overlooking Cape Town, South Africa. Our tour today will take you past the pristine beaches of the exclusive Clifton and Camps Bay, where you will get to see the extraordinary peaks of the Twelve Apostles. From here we will continue on to Hout Bay Harbor, where we will drive the stunning Chapmans Peak Drive. This spectacular road hugs the near-vertical face of the mountain from Hout Bay to Noordhoek. Hacked out of the face of the mountain between 1915 and 1922, the road was at the time regarded as a major feat of engineering. You will be awed both by its engineering wonders, as well as the natural views all around you! Finally we arrive at the Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve. Here we will have the chance to experience the rugged flora and fauna of this area, as we gaze out over the meetings of the Atlantic and Indian Oceans. Finally, we drive back to Cape Town via False Bay and Simons Town, where you will have the option to visit the unbelievable African Penguin Colony. We finish our day with a drive through the world-famous Constantia wine area before returning to Cape Town.

Fun and beautiful but fairly frenetic trip round the peninsula. For my part I really enjoyed the pace, but if you want to savour every destination or need more time to get around, I’d suggest a full day version. Our guide was friendly and informative - would definitely recommend to anyone. Be warned though - the bus goes like the clappers along some pretty steep coastal roads!

They arrived quite late to look for us. They made us wait more than half an hour. Removing that inconvenience, the excursion is perfect. An unbeatable one, I would not have stopped at the penguins and had spent more time at the Cape. Penguins are very expensive for what you see. The tour itself seemed a bit expensive. Maybe because we hired her the day before

Was worth it

The guide was very talkative and would have liked to save the historical background in addition to the facts, because msn forget it anyway! But all in all it was ok! Who of course wants to explore all places in detail is out of place here because the half-day tour is not suitable! It was ok for us!
