From Jerusalem: Petra & Wadi Rum 3-Day Tour

1. From Jerusalem: Petra & Wadi Rum 3-Day Tour

Day 1: Depart Tel Aviv early in the morning. As you drive through Jerusalem, enjoy the stunning views of the Judean Desert landscape along the Israeli side of the Jordan valley, on the way to the Allenby Border Crossing.  Your first stop is Jerash, one of the world’s best-preserved Roman towns. Journey through time as you walk the colonnaded streets behind the impressive Hadrian’s Arch, and discover the Greco-Roman architecture telling 4,000 years of Mediterranean history. After lunch at a local restaurant, head to the capital to learn about Amman’s cultural importance and eventful past, featuring palaces, a museum and the Temple of Hercules, and panoramic views across the city. Drive to a Bedouin camp near Petra, savor a traditional dinner, enjoy authentic Bedouin hospitality beneath the clear desert skies and listen to local music, before heading to rest in your tent’s comfortable bed. Day 2: After breakfast, take a day to explore Petra, carved into the red stone by the Nabataeans around 2,000 years ago. Hear about Petra’s complex history, followed by lunch in a local restaurant. In the afternoon, explore the sites by yourself, and admire the Hellenistic architecture, before heading back for dinner. Day 3: Your last day starts with an exciting ride through the exquisite and virtually untouched desert landscape of Wadi Rum. A 4x4 jeep will take you to stunning sights and viewpoints, past towering cliffs of weathered stone and desert animals. After lunch at a local restaurant, head to the Allenby Bridge border crossing, and by late evening arrive back in Jerusalem.

From Amman: Madaba, Mount Nebo and Dead Sea Private Day Tour

2. From Amman: Madaba, Mount Nebo and Dead Sea Private Day Tour

Experience Madaba, Mount Nebo, and the Dead Sea with an expert guide. Drive through the beautiful landscape from Amman to the Dead Sea on a full-day trip.  Meet your guide in the lobby of your hotel in Amman and drive together to Madaba, a town with a history spanning back to the second century. Visit St George’s Greek Orthodox Church and see the Madaba Mosaic Map, an early Byzantine floor mosaic and the oldest surviving cartographic depiction of Jerusalem and the Holy Land.  Revel in the panoramic views of Jerusalem from Mount Nebo, a sight once shared by Moses. Marvel at other churches in the area and then continue to the Dead Sea. At the lowest point of the earth, 416 meters below sea level, enjoy two hours of floating in the mineral rich waters of the Dead Sea. Relax on the air-conditioned drive back to your hotel in Amman.

Private Tour to Dead Sea and Baptism Site

3. Private Tour to Dead Sea and Baptism Site

Leave your hotel to visit the Baptist site, 55 kilometers away. Visit the baptism sight, located on the east side of the Jordanian River, recognized by the Vatican during the visit of John Paul II in 2000 to be the official baptism sight of Jesus Christ, and a very important pilgrimage area to visit. This tour is very special to many people, and will relate to individual faiths and beliefs. Baptisms and re-baptisms can be organized as a symbol of ones faith. This area is not only associated with Christianity, but also to the three divine religions: Jewish, Christian and Islam with the ascension of the Prophet Elijah into heaven. You will then head to the lowest point on earth, 400 meters beneath sea level. The Dead Sea is probably one of the most incredible places in the world. It is known from the biblical story of the destruction of Sodom and Gomorra, which was turned into salt. The Dead Sea speaks for itself -  there are no living fish. It is by far one of Jordan’s most impressive and spectacular places to visit. Its calm shining water glowing from its scorching sun is known for the concentration of salt and minerals, which makes it a therapeutic and unique swimming experience not to be missed! Once your day tour has finished you will be returned to your hotel.
