Excellent day. It was great to have the day planned out but no time constraints (other than getting back for the ferry!) We got the earliest ferry (8.30 am) and picked up the tickets right away. It was very windy so the first boat trip wasn’t till 10am. The blue grotto was closed because of the weather so saved having to decide whether to do that or not. There was a bit of confusion about the bus to Anacapri- I think we ended up on a French tour by mistake, but the bust got us to Anacapri. We went straight for the chairlift before lunch. There was rather too much food for us. In retrospect the basic (rather than gold) option would have been better as there was no queue for the chairlift so we could have just bought tickets. When we went for the bus back to Capri, they organised a car with just us as a bus had just left! Very good value and saved the hassle of getting individual tickets although there were rarely queues. That might be different in peak season so even better value.

Arrivato al porto ho ritirato i ticket per il giro in barca, dura un’ora e mezza perché si fa una sosta alla grotta azzurra (se non c’è molta coda vale assolutamente la pena vederla). Al rientro ho ritirato una cartella con all’interno i ticket per tutto il resto del tour. Subito sul bus privato (blu) verso Anacapri, appena sceso pranzo al ristorante “La Giara” (primo, secondo e dolce, c’è addirittura scelta ed e’ buonissimo, personale di sala gentilissimo). Al termine si va verso la seggiovia e si sale sul monte Solaro da cui si gode una veduta incantevole dell’isola, si torna poi ad Anacapri per vedere un po’ il centro storico (simile a Capri ma meno affollato). Purtroppo non c’è molto tempo perché l’ultimo bus per tornare a Capri e’ alle 16:00. Tornati al centro storico di Capri ci si gode il tempo rimasto tra negozi e punti di attrazione. Unica pecca: c’è già tanta gente a Maggio, figuriamoci nei mesi estivi…
