We booked the tour and the night before we heard from the company verifying pickup location and time. The person who contacted me didn’t speak English and when she found out I did, then I got another message from Ruben, who spoke very good English. He communicated back and forth even the day of the tour to make sure things were going well. He told us that he had explained everything to our tour guide and so we were confident that where she pointed to us to go, it was the right thing. We didn’t have much trouble until the end of the day trying to find our bus again. But we found it finally and got back to our hotel. The tour itself was very enjoyable! I loved feeding the raccoons in the mangroves, and we had a fabulous time snorkeling! I would have liked more time for the snorkeling. I would have easily traded the beach time for more snorkeling time. The one thing I would have liked to see different was to have guides that knew some English.

We were picked up by Diana and Carlos the driver. Diana explained our itinerary very clear and gave us pointers on what to do at the beach. Carlos the driver was friendly and entertained us with good music. We then were split into groups and my group had Guillermo. Guillermo stayed with us make sure we received our free drink and food. He checked on us diligently to make sure we were satisfied. This was one of the best tours.

Starts with a bus ride to Baru island with a quick stop for snacks and drinks. Continuing on you arrive at Playa Blanca when a boat picks you up. The boat is old but typical of all tours in the area. Taken to mangroves where animals are pointed out to you. You get to feed a raccoon, they are friendly here. Then a quick stop to check out local almond trees and take pictures on a little beach. After that you are taken to a coral with a good amount of fish. There are other boats but it didn’t feel too crowded. The crew handed out very good equipment for snorkeling. A lot of tours give you crappy equipment, very surprised here. You have a chance to dive down and have pictures taken for you. Finally arrive at Playa Blanca for lunch. I choose fish and got a delicious tilapia lunch. After lunch you can spend time on beach or walk around. We explored a cave with bats.
