Barcelona: Gaudi's Casa Vicens Skip-the-Line Entrance Ticket

1. Barcelona: Gaudi's Casa Vicens Skip-the-Line Entrance Ticket

Visit Casa Vicens, the first house of Gaudí, and the first important work by the architect. This was the work that marked his point of departure, an architectural gem which was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 2005.  Constructed between 1883 and 1885 by order of Mr. Manuel Vicens, Casa Vicens is one of the first masterpieces of Modernism, and an anticipation of the later work of Gaudí.  Originally, it was projected as a holiday home with a garden, in which geometric shapes and rich ornamentation, inspired by the surrounding vegetation, are present both in the exterior of the house and in the different interior spaces. This skip-the-line ticket allows you priority entrance and access to the whole complex.

Gaudi Tour: Sagrada Família, Park Güell, and Casa Batlló

3. Gaudi Tour: Sagrada Família, Park Güell, and Casa Batlló

The name Gaudí is almost synonymous with Barcelona. The city’s favorite architect has come to embody the style of a city deeply rooted in its natural surroundings. This is Barcelona at its vibrant, playful best. On this, the most complete tour available of Gaudí’s work, you will visit three of his residential works, including one unknown to most visitors; skip long lines to wander around the beautiful Park Guell; and, of course, embark on a thorough exploration of Gaudí’s greatest work and final resting place, La Sagrada Família. Your tour starts with first entrance to Casa Batlló, arguably Gaudí’s most impressive residential property (and certainly his most-visited). Entering ahead of the morning crowds, you’ll discover some of the genius solutions Gaudí employed to solve architectural problems throughout the house, dispersing light and air throughout its many levels. A sure highlight is the roof, designed to resemble the scales of a dragon – the great emblem of Barcelona. Somewhere in the middle is Park Guell. Part fanciful explosion of color, part thoughtful study of organic forms, it is a perfect reflection of the natural world. Since this became a ticketed site a few years ago, entrance lines have become extremely long – so it’s a good thing you have skip-the-line access. Your tour ends, as Gaudí himself did – in the La Sagrada Família. It can be hard to know where to look on your first visit to La Sagrada Família, so it’s lucky you have a Gaudí expert on hand to guide your experience. You’ll spend a full hour exploring the church itself. Due to the popularity of Gaudí and his works, there are long lines outside all three of the sites you will enter (Casa Batlló, Park Guell and La Sagrada Família), but with pre-reserved entrance to each, you will sail straight inside. Meanwhile a private transport between sites means you’ll cover more ground than would be possible even in a whole day on your own. Give Gaudí the time he deserves on this complete tour of his finest works.

Bring cash because you’ll want tip your guide! We were in Barcelona and took the Gaudi walking tour with our guide Alessia. My wife and I never book guided tours so this was an exception for us and a very delightful one at that! Alessia is super knowledgeable and was a pleasure to be with. Both Terri and I felt we got 110% more out of seeing Casa Batalló, Casa Milà, Casa Vicens, Parc Guëll and La Sagrada de Familia than had we tried to see them on our own. A++, don’t think twice if you want to see these Gaudi works. You may even feel Gaudi’s presence at La Sagrada de Familia!

This was an absolutely excellent tour. Our guide, Marta, went in depth in every aspect of the tour. She answered our questions that were varied and broad in a manner that demonstrated she has a strong personal interest in architecture ans art. I know there are a lot of tour options our there, and this is one I would recommend to friends and family. It's worth the price!

We had a very good guide, who had provided us a lot of information. The house itself is amazing. This excursion is definitely a must see in order to understand the genius of Gaudi

Wonderful tour! Oliver was amazing, very knowledgeable, funny and a great photographer! Highly recommend!

Our guide Marta was very knowledgeable about Gaudi and the pace of the tour was just right.
