    Explore the 55-hectare gardens of the Papal Palace of Castel Gandolfo by open minibus. Listen to the audio guide as you roam the gardens to learn all their secrets.

    Meet your greeter in the Palazzo before starting your tour. Climb aboard the eco-friendly minibus to discover the Castel Gandolfo gardens. See tree-lined avenues, flowers, fountains, and statues. Admire views of the sapphire blue and emerald green waters of Lake Albano.

    Take in the remains of Emperor Domitian's residence. Find out all there is to know about the Popes, including which pontiff installed a swimming pool and which one laid low in Castel Gandolfo for months after handing in his resignation. You can upgrade your minibus tour of the gardens. Choose from a visit to the papal apartments or lunch in the papal gardens.

    The town of Castel Gandolfo is definitely worth seeing. We went there by train for 4 Euros there and back to reach the meeting point. We arrived 30 minutes early and waited to be picked up near the church steps as agreed in the recommendations. No one came and we missed our bus leaving at the scheduled time. If you choose this activity and you have not been picked up at the scheduled meeting time, go directly to the left of the papal house where tickets are sold. The visit to the gardens is very pleasant but a little fast. We would have liked to have had more time during the course and during the stops to take the time to hear all the explanations of the audio guide. The tour of the house is really interesting and worth doing.
