Full description
Leaving from Catania or Taormina, you will head towards Savoca, one of the most beautiful and picturesque villages of Sicily, the protagonist of many scenes of the film. The first stop will be the Bar Vitelli, located at the entrance of the village, where Michael Corleone asks, to the father of Apollonia, the hand of his daughter. Here, you can take the opportunity to taste a refreshing lemon granita, and then continue walking through the narrow streets. Once you reach the historic center of town, visit the church of San Nicolò (or Santa Lucia), where one of the most famous scenes of the film was recorded, the wedding of the protagonists. Enjoying a breathtaking view, you will then move to Forza D'Agrò, a famous medieval village that serves as the backdrop to many scenes of the famous film. Arrived in the historic town square, you will cross a staircase and the famous Durazzesco arch, until you reach the churchyard of the Church of the Holy Trinity, also known as the church of Sant 'Agostino, where you can not help but imagine even more within the series, in a pure medieval context and authentic Sicilianity. Your last stop will be Taormina, one of the most visited destinations in Sicily. Here you will have free time to enjoy the beauty of this picturesque city. Walking along the elegant main street, Corso Umberto, you can not only observe its most important monuments, but also take advantage of shopping in exclusive stores and craft stores.
