We had an incredible time with our guide Widi! We started our GetYourGuide trip in jawa with the Tempels (Borobudur & Prambanan). We enjoyed the sunrise from a view point (Punthek setumbu) from which we were able to see already the Borobudur temple. Due to corona (pandemic) the Borobudur opens at 7 a.m. We arrived there a little bit earlier and were one of the first person when the temple opens. Our Guide Widi went with us and explained us all important information about the Tempel and the history. Before we went to Prambanan we stopped to drink an Luwak coffee. We recommend to try this traditional coffee! Than we went to Prambanan which was also really impressive. Both temples are stunning and should be visited by everyone who stay in Yogyakarta. We really recommend this tour with Widi. He is authentic, kind and explained everything in a real good English. Due to the reason that we were satisfied with the trip, we booked more tours with our guide Widi for the following days.

All in all, the two volcanoes are very impressive and should definitely be visited on a trip to jawa. This is a unique experience that we can definitely recommend! What made our trip special was our guide widi who tried at all times to get the best out of everything. Furthermore, he has taken our needs into account and has also responded to our special wishes. It was an individual and uniquely great trip with him! I can recommend this trip because this is not possible to do without a guide. Especially because the distances of the two volcanoes are very large and you can only get around on the roads as a local. In addition, we would otherwise never have learned so much about the country and the lives of the people. Our guide widi made an individual trip out of it and showed us other additional undertakings besides the agreed ones. It was a great, impressive and funny trip that we will certainly remember for a long time!

What an excellent day!Widi my guide was an absolute gem,he picked me up early in the morning as we discussed.I was lucky enough to be the only person to guide so have me a huge amount of information about the places I was planning to visit. Borobudur was amazing although I wasn’t be able to climb up atop due to covid restrictions. Nevertheless, the whole trip was amazing and all I can say if you are planning to do any of these packages, tray and request Widi!

Our guide Widhi was very friendly and he’s giving lots of info about the places we visited. I have to admit that the jeep ride to Merapi was not so interesting as we stayed pretty low and with the bad weather we had, didnt see much either so could easily skip this part. Borobudur temple is currently closed and only accessible on the ground area which is really a pity because we dont get to see the historical reliefs of the temple itself.

Recommend very highly. Our driver and guide Yuni was excellent - helpful and great company. It’s tricky getting around Yogya so a private car for a day was a very good investment.
