Merzouga Overnight Stay in a Berber Tent and Camel Ride

1. Merzouga Overnight Stay in a Berber Tent and Camel Ride

Depart Merzouga, Rissani or the oasis town of Erfoud and travel by 4WD vehicle to a traditional Kasbah at the foot of the Erg Chebbi dunes. Depending on your time of arrival, rest with a refreshing mint tea. Then, follow your guide into the desert and ride a camel across the sands. Trek across the magnificent landscape watching the sunset as you go. Arrive at the desert camp after a camel trek of approximately 2 hours. Upon arrival, your camels will be tethered as you drink some more mint tea. Enjoy a delicious dinner in the desert wilderness, and then sit around a camp fire to hear the beat of the drums and the songs of the Berber nomads of southern Morocco. Wake early in the morning and walk over the sand dunes to watch the sunrise from just behind the Algerian border, about 50 kilometers from Merzouga. Ride your camel back to the hotel, where you can relax with a shower and enjoy breakfast. Drive back to the bus station or your hotel in Rissani or Merzouga for the end of the tour services.

Perfect! 5 minutes after booking we were contacted via WhatsApp, given the meeting point and all the necessary information. We always knew what was going to happen next. The staff was super nice and helpful at all times. The tent was incredibly luxurious. The food was very good. We also had the best camel guide, who is apparently also a professional photographer :) thank you very much for the great experience. Absolutely great value for money!!

The tour was beautiful! We rode for a while into the evening and saw the gorgeous sunset from the dunes. It got dark quickly and the stars were unbelievably bright. Unfortunately, clouds appeared during the night and it even rained a little bit. Nevertheless, it was nice to enjoy dinner and drum something in the evening. We slept in the tent. After sunrise and an early breakfast we went around the corner back to the hotel.

Highly recommended - worked great. We arrived with our own car and got the meeting point via WhatsApp and were accompanied from there to the camp - off-road slope. We left the car there. Camel ride was great, all guides super friendly. Camp is almost luxury- super tent with own toilet and shower, towels, super clean Dinner and breakfast delicious, campfire with drums also cool Anytime recommended

Great evening and night in the middle of the dunes. Very good and plentiful meal and breakfast. A certain comfort all the same in this bivouac. The people are super nice. I recommend this very nice experience
