If you want to hear about the history of Charlestown and delve into a bit of ghost hunting and storytelling, this fun walk through the town will have you hoping the tour doesn’t end. You will visit a dungeon where prisoners were kept, see the spot where Blackbeard the infamous pirate docked, and visit a local graveyard and snap pictures hoping to catch an apparition. Fun for adults but may be a bit too scary for little people.

The ghost tour was great! The location of the tour start has parking nearby (not free but available). The guide was knowledgeable and funny. The tour requires quite a bit of walking on cobblestone streets, so wear comfortable shoes. I took a 10 yo and an 11 yo and they had a magnificent time. I highly recommend.

Very interesting history of the early life of Charleston. Seeing the dungeon and looking at the building and the building materials used and that it is still standing after centuries of exposure to the costal weather. Great time and would recommend.
