The bricks are made from soil from the city of Mecca, making it even more important. You can also see Hussain Sagar, an awesome manmade lake in the city. The lake, constructed in 1562 by Hazrat Hussain Shah Wali, has a large stone Buddha in the middle that was built in 1992. Also known as “Tank Bund”, the lake connects the sister cities of Hyderabad and Secunderabad. Hyderabad is not only the capital of the South Indian state of Andhra Pradesh, it is also the most populous. We 5oroughly enjoyed our tour in Hyderabad. Samson was an exceptional tour guide. He was very knowledgeable about the history of the places we visited, and made it an incredible cultural experience. We visited Golconda Fort where we climbed several hundred years of history and visited the camel stables not normally on a general tour. We then visited the Qutub tombs, followed by a visit to a bakery next to Charminar that had the freshest, flakiest cookies I’ve ever eaten coupled with a cup of Masala Chai. Sam and our driver Sadam then took us pearl shopping and helped me negotiate a very reasonable purchase. While walking along the streets next to Charminar, we passed the Deputy Prime Minister of Thailand. Thanks to Sam and Saddam for a lovely visit to Hyderabad.

I originally signed up for this tour, the afternoon before, but it had to be changed to the Hyderabad: Heritage Walking Tour of Old City and Charminar, due to Covid 19 closures. 5 Senses Tours was very efficient in the turnaround to find me another tour on Monday 24 August 2020! My guide was John, he's a very knowledgeable and experienced guide who knows the history of Hyderabad and India very well and had an answer for every single question I had. It was an enjoyable morning walking tour, easy getting around and learning from him. Ask John to stop for an amazing "chai" before starting the walking tour. Also my driver was Taiyab and he did an outstanding job as well. I’d highly recommend this tour. Thank you 5 Senses tour and John!

I recommend the tour if you are traveling alone and have little time in Hyderabad. They picked me up at the hotel and we had a very productive day. My Venu guide was very professional all the time as was the driver. It is a very tiring journey. My favorite place was Golconda Fort. I was left wanting to get to know him more. We did not visit the Mecca Masjid. In general the service was good and I am very grateful.

The tour was a great way to experience Hyderabad! Our guide, John, was very knowledgeable and accommodating. Because we did the tour on a Friday, the museum and the palace were closed, but we got two see two other interesting monuments instead. John also took us to a store with old books to accommodate for my personal interests:)

Very recommended. The guide and the driver are very knowledgeable and nice. I've had a really good time
