The trip was full of information and the guide (Koi) was very helpful. Road to Doi Suthep in a van can get you car sick but it is a short distance anyway. The temple is beautiful and looking over Chiang Mai lightning up is a memorable experience. You can ask them to drop at the night market or anywhere near the old city on the trip back. Highly recommended for first timers in Chiang Mai.

Saman was calm and patient. He enjoyed sharing his knowledge and answering questions. He made sure we all introduced ourselves and he introduced the driver. We had a group of 7 - everyone enjoyed learning and sharing together. We met at the McDonalds, not at the gate. We rode in a van and stopped at the forest temple first. We chose to buy a set of one candle, 3 incense sticks and one Siam tulip flower to ask for blessings. We enjoyed walking around and through the brick tunnels. So much history and art. We even heard monks chanting! Then we drove up the mountain to Doi Suthep. You can walk up the stairs or take a funicular to the top. In the evening, there are less visitors and it seems even more magical. We got to see the view of the city before and after dark. So much to see and admire! We were dropped off near Silver Street on the way back as that was what we wanted to explore next. A peaceful and enjoyable 5 hours of learning and exploring.

The tour was fantastic and James was a great guide who made it relaxed, calm but also humorous with fantastic storytelling along the way. The tour is chill and not super intense which was great after a full day of work, the tour is family friendly as well as great for solo travellers and couples! Recommend to everyone!
