Full description
After being picked up in the morning from your hotel in Chiang Mai city, you will head towards your local hiking adventure. 2 hours after beginning your ascent, you will reach Wat Doi Suthep at the 1,100 meter mark. Here you will start to traverse through highland jungle and the old Hmong Hill Tribe Village near the summit of Doi Pui which you will reach after your 3rd hour. After a hearty lunch at the village and an approximate 1-hour climb, you will tackle the summit of Doi Pui peak. Here we get to enjoy 180 degrees views of the Mae Ping Valley. The trip will be completed by a climb with a 30-minute downhill stroll to the Doi Pui Camp grounds ,where your ride back awaits you. Refreshed with cold drinks and snacks, you will then head back to the comfort of Chiang Mai, but not before making a stop at Wat Suthep to marvel at this rich temple which was built centuries ago in 1383.

Very good experience with a really nice and attentive guide, who gave us explanations throughout the day. The national park was closed, our 6h trek was only a one hour trek and the rest of the time we were driving from place to place. The village, the temples, the waterfall and the short jaunt on foot were definitely worth it. I just can't comment on the difficulty of the 6 hour trek since we walked less than expected.

We’re a bit frustrated cause it seemed like all the tours just drive you to the summit or temple for the photo op and then drive you back down since we wanted to actually hike up the mountain but then we found this one and it was probably our favourite day in the north. Danai was super nice and you could tell that he loves nature and hiking. It was definitely a tough climb but soo worth it! You don’t only have amazing views if it’s not too misty but also hike through so many different types of forests. If you’re looking for a real hike off the paved roads then this is it. Thank you so much for an amazing day

What a great day! My wife and I were lucky to be the only guests on today’s tour and had a super day with our guide (Danai?) who was very knowledgeable, funny and spoke a very good English. We saw several temples, the Hmong-village, a waterfall and a lot of jungle and great views. For 100 bath extra per person we got to MTB the 16 km down the mountain and finished the tour off with a late lunch (around 4pm) in a great vegetarian place in Old Town. A good breakfast before the hike and a few power bars and cashews that we brought as snacks was plenty to keep us going all day. The hike is not for beginners in flip-flops but absolutely doable. The guide brings water and you can borrow comfortable bag packs. We highly recommend this tour! Go to Thailand now - they need you!
