Full description
Start your day of adventure at 8:00 AM when your private guide and driver picks you up from your hotel. You'll drive through the west of Chiang Mai to the Doi Suthep Temple, the most famous landmark in Chiang Mai and a sacred site among the locals. Thai people say you haven’t truly been to Chiang Mai if you haven't visited Doi Suthep. At the top of the temple, marvel at the shining gold and jeweled pagoda made in the Lanna architecture style. Listen to the chanting of the monks while you admire the panoramic views of the whole city of Chiang Mai from the viewing platform.  Next, you'll head to Doi Inthanon National Park where Thailand's highest peak is located. The area is covered by lush green preserved forests and has become one of the country's best parks. Stop at the halfway point up to the peak where you can admire the beautiful Wachirathan Waterfall and enjoy the flavors the real Thai food for lunch. After lunch, continue the drive up the mountain and enjoy the amazing views along the way. At the summit, visit the King, and Queen Pagoda and the beautiful surrounding gardens.  On the return trip, you'll make a final stop at a local market on the way down the mountain before heading back to your hotel in Chiang Mai.

Mona was a fantastic tour guide! She was very knowledgeable about all the questions we asked, and had great English so we could understand her perfectly! She even taught us how to speak a few words in Thai. Highly recommend this tour for anyone wanting to squeeze a lot into one day!

First, I have to give credit to our tour guide Sid. He is a very sweet person, very knowledgeable and an excellent tour guide! Second, me and my boyfriend loved this tour. We got to explore the much more of what is stated on the tour description. I’m a coffee lover and we stoped to see the rice fields and to taste a 100 local coffee. Amazing day trip! Please, don’t miss this!

Anan (guide) and Oum (driver) picked us up at the hotel on time. It is always a private tour, no additional participants. The targets described were approached and we had enough time at each spot. Our guide always tried very hard, but he said too much to our liking (sounded something memorized), and we usually didn't get an answer to specific questions in English. However, he always offered to take photos of us. We would have liked the tour to be a little more personal (e.g. different focus in the national park: culture / nature / animals), since it was a private tour. Food preferences were asked and a vegetarian menu was ordered from the restaurant accordingly. Unfortunately, the guide wasn't very good at walking. Attention: In Doi Inthanon National Park a passport and proof of vaccination are required. This is not yet mentioned in the tour description.
