1. Chiang Mai & Pai: 2-Day Sticky Waterfalls Private Trip
Start the tour with an 8 AM pick-up from your Chiang Mai city center hotel or the airport. First, head to Chiang Mai's most sacred temple, Wat Phrathat Doi Suthep, located 3,500 feet above sea level and famous for its Golden pagoda. Visit the Sticky Buatong waterfall which has 3 main levels that can be hiked up with incredible mountain views. The limestone coating on the rocks makes them 'sticky' and easy to hold on to. Then, drive to Pai on a winding road through the mountains. Stop at the iconic iron memorial bridge which dates back to WWII and has become a popular photo spot. Afterward, check in to your hotel and spend the evening exploring the markets and local restaurants. On day 2, get picked up from your hotel in Pai at 8 AM. Start the day with a visit to Baan Santichon Chinese Village at Yun Lai which boasts incredible views over the city. Journey up the hill to the Mae Yen temple which is home to a giant white Buddha. Head into the center of town for lunch. Then take a short drive out of Pai to stop at Coffee in Love where you can enjoy a drink or slice of cheesecake on the balcony. Last but not least, visit Pai Canyon where you can walk along stone paths and explore the natural scenery. Return to Chiang Mai at around 6 PM in a private car.
