Meet your driver at your Palenque hotel then set off on a scenic 1-hour journey to the Lacandon Jungle. Enjoy a traditional breakfast and hot beverages at a roadside restaurant before continuing to your destination. On arrival at the Lacanjá River, climb aboard your durable raft and begin your journey through the atmospheric and dense jungle. Interact with the natives of Lacanjá Chansayab, a traditional Mayan village in which old customs still reign supreme, then stroll to the revitalizing Moctuniha Waterfall to marvel at the natural splendor of the formation. Take a revitalizing dip before enjoying a late lunch and returning to your Palenque hotel by mini-van.

What people are saying about Chiapas

We had so much fun on this trip! First we went rafting for 2 hours or so, then explored the jungle for a bit. It was just the rafting instructor, our guide (who could speak a hole bunch of languages btw) and us. We then returned to our starting point by car and were able to go for a swim at a beautiful waterfall and get some lunch. We had to wait a little bit for the ride back home and were back in Palenque at 8pm I think. But that was fine, since we just spent some time in the water and sun or in one of the hammocks there.

The rafting experience is amazing, the team is excellent and the guide is very good. However, we had to beg for hiking and we only did one hour, not two as the tour indicated, they also didn't take us to the waterfall. The transfer was super heavy because the driver let some passengers get off to the store and for coffee.
