Arriving in Porto earlier in the afternoon, we thought that the tour would be a good way to explore some of the city as well as to sample the local food and drink. We were not disappointed. Our guide, Thiago, was charming and with only my partner and me in the 'group', we were able to ask him lots of questions covering a variety of topics (from the history of the city to the politics in Brazil, and of, course the best beer, wine and port to sample), all of which were answered informatively and with humour. By the time the tour had finished, we were both full up with some tasty food and drink so it was good to be able to walk it all off on our way back to our hotel. My main recommendation would be...don't eat anything beforehand so that you have room to enjoy the fabulous petiscos and the local bebidas!

My wife and I had a fantastic time on this food tour. The food and drinks were great and Thiago was an excellent host that was personable and had a ton of local knowledge and cultural insights to share. It was the perfect introduction to Porto and featured a good balance of historical information while also providing us the experience of what it is like to live like a local. We definitely recommend this tour to anyone visiting! 5/5 stars.

Violeta the guide was a delight, from the beginning to the end. He showed us the beach and the entire area of the mouth of the Douro and the bridges, we went to a winery to see the process of obtaining Port and a wine tasting. Then we got to know the old town and the center with its history and we finished the night with a dinner in a traditional Fado house with a show while we had dinner. Totally recommendable
