We had a nice guide. He knew a lot to tell us and precisely because of where the tour started and how he brought it it came to life for us. Both the small children and the adults were involved by questions and or jokes. He also took into account that not the entire group was able to walk up the palatine. Clearly indicated what the intention was and where we would meet again. Very nice.

The organization worked well, even though the group was very large (26). Our guide was friendly and approachable; she has repeatedly referred to the rest of Roman history and buildings in Rome. She has given interesting explanations, e.g. Some of them have remained a bit too superficial. Her German was good enough for the explanations, but she did not always understand questions and therefore did not answer them with enough focus (but always with a nice side story).

Amanda did an excellent job - very knowledgeable and lively. We were in a group of 15 and Amanda interacted well with each of us to personalize the tour. We spent the great majority of time in the coliseum and had several opportunities to do a little exploring on our own. It was a great day (light crowd).
