Planning Your Visit
The Spanish national sport is definitely football, with Cordoba FC the favorite local team. Do a little research on the team before your visit to bond with the locals.
When should I come?
The weather is pleasant year-round, but unless you like it really hot, avoid August. You can spend a few days here living the Spanish lifestyle, but the town is also a popular day trip destination from Granada, Madrid or Seville.

What people are saying about Córdoba
Interesting tour of an important historical site within Cordoba. The tour and guide takes you through the former citadel/prison, and the gardens that were used by Queen Isabella, and leaves you to wander through the modern recreation of the former gardens of Alcazar which was the perfect blend of historical significance and letting you enjoy the beautiful grounds on your own.
We had a wonderful time visiting Córdoba. Visiting the high-lighted places with an experienced tour guide really makes a difference. You enjoy every single detail that might not have drawn your attention, and at the end of the tour, you feel attached to the history, architecture, gastronomy and people of this wonderful city.
We loved this experience so much! We learned so much about the local wines and it gave us much more appreciation for the wines of that region. The wines and food were all super delicious as well. Highly recommend!
Fantastic tour of such an important archeological site. Please bring a hat as the sun is strong and there are few trees.
