Full description
Discover Paleokastritsa and the Old Town of Corfu on a private 4-hour tour. After pickup at your hotel, drive to the western part of the island and visit the Monastery of The Virgin Mary in Paleokastritsa. Admire the Greek monastic architecture, stroll through the inner courtyard, and see the Byzantine and post-Byzantine icons in the museum. Take in superb views over the sea, and the rock that is said to be Odysseus' ship turned to stone.
Continue to Corfu Old Town in the north. Visit Esplanade Square (also known as Spianada), the central square of Corfu Town and the largest in the Balkans. Admire the beautiful square, filled with trees and flowerpots. Wander through narrow streets and explore the surrounding buildings. See imposing monuments, and the Venetian fortress that marks the beginning of the modern town. At the end of the tour, you’ll be dropped off at your hotel.
