Join this wonderful tour which takes fans of the show 'Vera' around the heartlands of where it is filmed in Newscastle Upon Tyne and Gateshead in Northumberland. The fully guided coach tour lasts approximately 4 hours and starts and finishes from central Newscastle. For the first part of the tour you will get to visit some of the Vera locations in Newcastle as well as Gateshead on the other side of the River Tyne. For the second and longer part of your tour you will be heading out towards the coast to explore some of the murder scenes and filming locations at Fish Quay in North Shields, Tynemouth and Whitley Bay before heading back into Newcastle. Once you arrive at the meeting point, get acquainted with your guide, who was an extra on Game of Thrones. Depart from Derry and drive westwards through the stunning countryside to Downhill Beach. Here you will find Dragonstone beach where Melisandre burned the Seven Idols for R’hllor the Lord of Light. Then travel to Dunluce Castle for a photo op.  This magnificent ruin was used as an establishing shot for Harrenhal in season 3. Cross Carrick-a-Rede rope bridge, which sits 30 meters above the rocks. Please be advised that the walk from the coach park to the Rope Bridge itself is almost 1 kilometer, so expect to walk for 20 minutes to the Rope Bridge, cross the bridge and back again, then walk back to the coach park along spectacular sea cliffs. Visit Renly’s Camp and the Kingsmoot, the location of the Iron Islands Kingsmoot in season 6 when Euron claimed the Salt Throne from Yara. Stop for lunch at your own expense at a charming guesthouse, restaurant and pub in Ballintoy on the north coast. Afterwards, head to Ballintoy Harbor, the location where Theon came ashore on Pyke Island. Here Theon later rededicated his faith to the "Drowned God", where Ser Davos seeks the help of Salladhor Saan for the Battle of Blackwater Bay, and where Gendry escapes Dragonstone in a rowing boat. This is where your guide opens the trunk of the coach and takes out the Iron Born Reever and Yara costumes, swords, axes, and Greyjoy banners. Next, you will visit the Giant’s Causeway. This natural wonder is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a geological anomaly of 40,000 interlocking basalt columns, formed in the Paleogene Period, 50-60 million years ago. Please note there is up to 2 kilometers of walking at this location. On the way back, make a photo stop at the Dark Hedges, the haunting avenue of serpentine beech trees through which Arya and Gendry escaped King’s Landing.

Day 2: Galway - Sligo - Letterkenny After a great night in Galway, set off through parts of Connemara to the Museum of Country Life. Here you are introduced to the Irish way of life that has existed in this rugged and beautiful part of country since 1800s. Your lunch stop today shall be Ireland's premier surf venue and beach at Strandhill, County Sligo. Watch some of Ireland's finest breakers roll against your Atlantic shores before heading off through the poetic heartland of Ireland, W.B. Yeat's country. Visit his final resting place in Drumcliff Abbey, and admire the beautiful Benbulben referenced in many of his poems. Your overnight this evening is the town of Letterkenny, Co. Donegal's most populous town. Day 3: Letterkenny - Donegal - Derry - Letterkenny Begin today with an excellent in-depth tour of Donegal's Glenveagh National Park. Here, take the opportunity to enjoy nature with lakeside walks and a visit to Glenveagh Castle. Onwards to Grianan of Aileach a hilltop fort, 3000 years old with panoramic views of 5 of the counties of Ulster and legendary stories from every era of Irish history. This afternoon, visit the city of Derry. Enjoy a walking tour of Derry's walls (1613) and the well known Bogside district made famous by the 1972 massacre and U2 song "Bloody Sunday". Next it's Northern Ireland's highlight the Giant's Causeway with its 37,000 basalt columns forming stepping stones leading from Ireland to Scotland and recounted in the legend of Fionn MacCool. The drive to Belfast takes us through part of the Glens of Antrim. Overnight in Belfast with a huge variety of options for dinner and evening entertainment Day 5: Belfast - Dublin Begin the day with a city tour of the highlights of Belfast including City Hall, Queen's University, Botanic Gardens and much more. Together, visit Titanic Belfast, a fascinating exhibit housed in the very docklands where this most famous ship was built and launched before her tragic maiden voyage.
