Full description
After pick-up at your hotel in the Chania region, travel by 4WD vehicle to the village of Ano Vouves to marvel at a 3,000-year-old olive tree that still produces fruit. Enjoy a cup of coffee or a fresh orange juice and learn more about the olive oil production in the past.  At Anoskeli's olive mill and winery learn how olive oil is produced today, taste the organic extra virgin olive oil on warm bread with oregano and continue with a wine tasting in 5 different labels of local wine with some authentic snacks from Crete.  Visit the Mesavlia/Deliana gorge entrance. This gorge is a unique example of wild Cretan nature. Up until 2018, it was possible to cross it by driving with 4WD vehicles. After the horrible storms of February 2019, the road has been destroyed and all the scenery has changed. You will take photos at the gorge's entrance and a few minutes later you will enjoy the view of the gorge from above. You will see local mountain goats and watch the vultures fly from their nests up to the sky. A real Safari experience. Your delicious lunch will consist of a traditional Cretan flavor with Cretan salad, wine and dessert. End with a visit to the traditional village of Spilia and get stunning views of the surrounding countryside from the cave of Saint John the Hermit.

This was an exceptional tour that we enjoyed very much! Nasos is fantastic and very knowledgeable and we learnt so much about Greek culture through his relaxed but informative approach. The wine tasting and lunch were both superb and in really beautiful settings. Can’t recommend this tour enough! Fantastic day out.

Marvelous day and one of the trip we still look back at and wish to re-live the day over and over again. Everything was perfect from the beginning to the end. Starting with a very punctual pick-up and introduction of the day. Nasos is a super entertaining and attentive guide. You get to see not a touristic countryside with very carefully chosen places to eat All in all a day full of memories with an amazing guide. This trip and experience is definitely a must!

    Nice experience

Really nice tour with great views and good food & wine. We got to see Crete from a different perspective and learned alot of information along the way. It was rewarding to leave the typical "beach life" for a day and just enjoy fresh air with amazing scenery. The tour guides were really friendly and had alot of information to share. Although the trip took almost the whole day, the time flew by. Definetely will be revisiting and would highly recommend to all who are visiting Crete!
