Full description
Enjoy a full-day excursion with pick-up and drop-off service from the Rethymnon and Chania areas. Your professional guide will accompany you as you depart from the port and cross the bay of Kissamos, passing through Tarsanas, a cave believed to be an ancient shipyard. You will sail the turquoise water around Agria Gramvousa and Vouxa Cape before arriving at Gramvousa Island, where you can visit the Venetian Castle and have time to sunbathe and cool off in the sea. If you choose to spend your time on the island exploring rather than relaxing, you can admire the spectacular views from the top of the fortress. The next stop is the famous lagoon of Balos, Tigani. Enjoy the incredible beach known as one of the most beautiful locations on all of Crete. You will also enjoy a meal on board and be able to rest in the air-conditioned underdeck of the boat, whenever you feel to. First of all, the place is very pretty and worth the trip. But not with this excursion. You will be on a crowded ferry and not enough seating for everyone as benches are removed due to the covid, yet the boat seemed full! The meal is a self-service canteen type, not bad but far from exceptional. Once in balos, the ferry dumps hundreds of people on the beach, people in a small group will look at you annoyed and even you, you will be annoyed to be en masse and take a photo in the company of dozens of others. people per m2. But the worst part is that despite the title "guided tour" you will have no guide! Find out on your own, you will have no information on this day, the history of the castle… Really to be avoided!
