Full description
Start your day by meeting your guide at the stables, where you will have a relaxed cup of coffee before taking a basic training session to make sure you feel safe and comfortable while riding a horse. Then, hop on your horse and wagon to begin your ride out into the mountains. After riding for about an hour, you'll arrive at the top of the Finikia mountains, where you'll stop for a break. Help yourself to a soft drink, or fruit, and take a moment to admire the amazing views and snap a picture or two. In the distance, you can spot the nearby mountain of Archanes, the place where the Greek God Zeus is said to be sleeping. Then get back on your horses and wagon and make your way back to the starting point. After riding for another hour, you'll arrive at the stables and then sit down for a delicious traditional Cretan lunch, including homemade wine. After lunch, have a seat out in the garden of the stables, help yourself to some more wine, or enjoy a few more minutes of riding. At about 2:00 PM, you will head back to your hotel or apartment.

We had an amazing time! Gregory, his wife, and their crew were great! The meal was such an awesome experience, especially since it was the first thing we ate arriving on the island, and their hospitality was nothing short of exceptional. The ride up the mountain was smooth and beautiful. Before we left, Gregory recommended places to visit on the island and offered us his assistance later if we needed it! This is a must do!

This experience was fun! The ambiance and people are welcoming Thank you Gregory Hakim and the other guy (sorry I don’t know his name!) for this great day in the mountains. About the horses they are kind and obediently I got Pamela Anderson (bc obvs I’m tall) no accident no problem! So don’t be afraid about the horses! All the animals got funny names by the way ! I let yall know by yourself Thank you to Gregory’s wife for the Greek dishes it was tasty but the meat ball was everything for me ! I recommended 100% They picked you to your hotel and drop you at the end of the activity to your hotel. About the rhythm you go slowly with the group but if you want to do some galop you can do it during the break ! ευχαριστώ (πολύ) means Efcharisto poly!

It was fun. Nice and hospitable people. Nice ride in beautiful surroundings. Unfortunately, the horses don't listen to commands very well, so I wouldn't necessarily recommend the whole thing for children (with us one horse ran off spontaneously and two others followed, so you have to be able to deal with it). You only get a brief introduction, but you don't have time to get to know the horse. You ride independently, but the horses pay less attention to the commands than to what the horse in front does with the guide. For lunch: it was very tasty, but I would have liked to eat together with the "guides".
