What people are saying about Culloden Moor
The trip was amazing. We started our trip in the Edinburgh city center, where we met with our guide and driver John, who is the most Scottish person I've ever met, and we head north towards the Highlands. We made several stops along the way and seen many wonderful attractions. We spent the night in an hotel in Inverness (not part of the tour package) and we met again with the group the next day to go to the magnificent Isle of Skye. Overall the trip was really enjoyable, tiring at times, but well worth it. The atmosphere in the bus was quite relaxed and felt like we were going on a trip with a group of friends, thanks in most part to John who was both very knowledgeable in Scottish history and also very funny; he managed to make the trip interesting and entertaining.
Really enjoyed my trip to the visitor centre, the way things are laid out chronologically is excellent. The battle experience is emotive and powerful. Also brutal! Also enjoyed the talk from the volunteer, he spoke very well and clearly has excellent knowledge of the subject. I will be looking up further info. on the subject online.
I think it's totally worthwhile! Amazing views and a perfect way to get to know more about Scotland in a short period of time. Doug, our guide was amazing!! I completely recommend it!
Queen Kelly of Scotland was amazing! Great stories and flexible with the stops. Really made the trip special.
