On this exciting 3-hour cookery course you will visit a local market to discover the range of ingredients available in Peru, and then return to the kitchen to cook up a 3-course meal. Peru has an enviable reputation for cuisine and you will be in the company of an expert instructor as you learn to prepare one of 3 menus. Each includes an entrée, main and dessert, along with a cocktail drink to accompany. Menu 1 includes Pisco sour or fruit juice, potatoes with Huancaína sauce, typical rice with chicken, and chocolate fondue. With menu 2 you will learn to prepare a Pisco sour or fruit juice, cook corn soup, salted beef with French fries and a chocolate fondue. Menu 3 features soltero de habas, aji de gallina with rice and chocolate fondue – and of course a Pisco sour or fruit juice! After all the hard work you have put into your Peruvian masterpieces, sit down and enjoy the cuisine in a relaxed and friendly environment.

Indulge in a chocolate-making workshop at the ChocoMuseo. Discover the origin of chocolate and its history, learn about the chocolate-making process, and leave with your very own cocoa creation. Get ready to play chocolatier as you're handed your chef's hat and apron on arrival at the workshop. Learn the fascinating journey a cocoa bean takes, from how it's grown and harvested, to how it gets turned into chocolate. Roast and grind cocoa beans and choose between milk or white chocolate and a number of delicious toppings to create your very own irresistible treat. You'll also have the opportunity to prepare and try a cocoa tea or hot chocolate.

Learn how to craft and make beautiful chocolate truffles and filled chocolate treats during a 90-minute workshop at a fun and friendly location in central Cusco. Just 2 blocks from the Plaza de Armes (Central Square), the workshop will take you through the process of preparing flavored ganache. You will learn how to temper chocolate, and how to prepare chocolate coats. Then, using chocolate sourced from the best local cacao beans, make and decorate 6 different truffles and 6 filled chocolates according to your preferences. The cooks will ensure you get maximum personal attention throughout, and help you master this delicious dish every step of the way. And at the end you will be able to take your delicious handmade chocolates home, to share with and impress your family and friends.

Learn how to make your very own chocolate during this interactive tour of the chocolate workshop and museum. Learn of the chocolate making process from bean to bar and everything in-between. Understand the history behind the famous cacao beans, and why Cusco makes some of the finest chocolate around the world. Learn how to make chocolate from the professional guides, and then enjoy making your own in no time! When you make your chocolate, you will learn of the 4 processes involved which includes: roasting the cacao beans, removing cacao husk, grinding the cacao nibs on a metate with a mano (the same way the Aztecs did), and refining the cacao paste in a melangeur. You will create delicious hot chocolates and your own chocolate bar, with your choice of ingredients. You can take home all of your handmade chocolates unless, of course, you have already eaten them!

You will be picked up from your hotel and depart towards Huilloc where you will learn about the customs of this community and will participate in a demonstration of one of the ancestral activities of Andean life: the process of making garments using traditional techniques, understanding the meaning of their iconography. A resident will show you the weaving process of typical Huilloc clothing. In addition to the opportunity to appreciate this traditional activity, you can buy one of these beautiful garments, contributing to the spiritual strengthening and identity of this Inca people, making this a complete and special experience. Then, it will depart towards the archaeological site of Pumamarca, composed of structures such as platforms, roads, and canals. He will have lunch on the road. Later visit the town of Ollantaytambo which has been continuously inhabited since the time of the Inca Empire. Finally, you will be transferred from Ollantaytambo to your hotel in Cusco.

The culinary experience in Marcelo Batata shares precisely this with its guests, offering a true participative, entertaining and personalized immersion in Peruvian cuisine in a professional environment designed exclusively for cooking classes. The afternoon starts with a tasting of different varieties of Pisco to wet the appetite and continues with an introduction to the local culinary culture where the chef shares knowledge of history, biodiversity, and geography. Continue with the participatory preparation of ´alpaca Lomo Saltado´ or ´Ceviche´. The chefs will also prepare Neo-Andean, Creole, and contemporary dishes to taste during the afternoon. At the end of the class, each participant enjoys the delicious lunch prepared by themselves.
