    Spend the day visiting archaeological sites and getting to know the mysterious Incan civilization on this day trip from Cusco. Visit the Sacred Valley with stops in Chinchero, Maras, and Moray. Meet your guide in Cusco and depart for Chinchero. Chinchero was an important town of the Incan Empire and is located on a terrace at about 3500 meters above sea level. The beautiful Andean landscape surrounds the town, with Chincero being framed by the calm beauty of the Chicón and Verónica snow-capped mountains. Every Sunday, the town becomes a trade center for products from the neighboring communities. After visiting Chinchero, go to the archaeological sites in Maras and Moray. In Maras be impressed by the salt mines. The salt deposits from these mines were used to trade for products from other regions of the empire. In Moray see archaeological remains composed of mysterious concentric circular terraces which, according to some scholars was an agricultural research center. Following your visit to Moray, depart back to Cusco.

    • To visit Moray and Chinchero, it is important that you acquire your Cusco Tourist Ticket (BTC)
    • This activity is not wheelchair accessible
    • Children must be accompanied by an adult
    • Infants must sit on laps
    • Rates do not apply for Peruvians or foreign passengers whose stay exceeded 60 days in Peru because sales taxes are not included in the above total and, if applicable, will be collected by the local partner
    • The visit to Maras is subject to changes during the months of December to March due to weather reasons (rainy season)
    • People over 18 years of age may enter enclosed spaces only if they are fully vaccinated, providing a virtual or printed certificate. This works for bus travel, any indoor activity, restaurants, hotels, trains, and airplanes. Minors should only be asymptomatic
