  • Dead Sea Chill Out Day Trip from Jerusalem

    3. Dead Sea Chill Out Day Trip from Jerusalem

Take a tour to the Dead Sea to laze on the beach and float in the mineral-rich waters during the best part of the day. You will depart from Jerusalem before the hottest part of the day, and spend a relaxing afternoon at the Dead Sea beach. Set in the Jordan Rift Valley, between Jordan and the West Bank, the Dead Sea is the lowest place on earth. Its high salt density provides you with a unique experience as you float unaided on the beautiful aquamarine surface. Cover yourself in the mineral-rich mud at a private beach at the north of the sea, and benefit from the therapeutic qualities of the natural Dead Sea mud. You will be back in Jerusalem in the late afternoon to early evening depending on the season.

Very cool and knowledgeable guide! Everything was relaxed and well organised. Meeting point is in the hostel. We chose this trip because we didn’t want to spent a whole day, and it was excellent. We had 1.5 h at the dead see which was plenty, we didn’t want more. The ‚beach‘ and premises are like a 1 star hotel from the 70s. But you could still enjoy swimming and get mud from the ground of the see. You just need to find a spot approx. 2 meters from the shore and dig. Good value for money. We even got a towel, something to drink and eat as well. The mini bus was in proper condition and modern inside. The guide was driving carefully and we were approx. 15 people. Good value for the money for us.

  • Day Tour Dead Sea from Amman

    6. Day Tour Dead Sea from Amman

Leave Amman city behind and drive 1 hour to the Dead Sea, one of the most incredible places in the world. The salt lake is the lowest point on earth and the special climatic conditions have positive effects on dermatological and rheumatic diseases. The mineral concentration in the mud is used for therapeutic and beauty treatments. Queen of Sheba and Queen Cleopatra appreciated already the spa and health effects of the Dead Sea. Due to the high salinity one can float on the water. Moreover, the area plaid a significant role in the Bible, most popular is the destruction of the sinful cities Sodom and Gomorrah. Return transfer to Amman hotel.

Our guide was prompt and on time. He gave us a lot of very helpful advice and information throughout the day. The ride was comfortable and fun, and we were well taken care of throughout every aspect of the tour. He helped us save money on souvenirs and took us to an authentic shop with Dead Sea products and reasonable prices, and stopped on the way home for lunch. We would recommend him and this tour again for sure!

  • From Tel Aviv: Full-Day Dead Sea Relaxation Tour

    10. From Tel Aviv: Full-Day Dead Sea Relaxation Tour

After descending nearly 4,000 feet from Tel Aviv through the wilderness of the Judean Desert to the Dead Sea, pass the Inn of the Good Samaritan and stop briefly at the “sea level” marker. In the distance, gaze at the outline of Jericho, the oldest city in the world. An ancient source of salt, you will hear from your guide about the conquest of Jericho by the Israelite tribes, led by Joshua, who had just crossed the Jordan River into the Promised Land. After donning your swimsuits, head towards the healing waters of the Dead Sea. At nearly 1,400 feet below sea level, this is the lowest place on earth — so low that some UV rays are filtered out, enabling those with sensitive skin to expose their bodies to the sun without worry. While here, you can take the opportunity to cover yourself with healing black mud, learning about how 2,000 years ago, Cleopatra realized that it was the mud whic...
