Know before you go

  • The road and access to the top of Mount Evans are open from late May to mid-September, depending on weather conditions. In winter when the access to the top of the mountain is closed, enjoy a Scenic Byway to Echo Lake with breathtaking views of Mt. Evans.
  •  Look at the weather report prior to the tour and bring the appropriate clothing, it iss advised to wear/bring layers given the quickly changing weather in Colorado
  • Unless there is a snowstorm or other conditions that could make driving a hazard the tour will take place
  •  You will be walking around at the different stops of the tour so wear comfortable shoes that you can also walk in
