Jan our guide, picked us up in the morning perfect in time. we drove by car to our first stop for the Elbsandsteingebirge at the german side of the mountains. it was a short walk (500m) to the postcard view everybody knows. Nearly no tourist in the moning around, (Jan really made an ideal tour schedule for the whole day). The view was stunning and we had a lot of time for pictures. after this we drove by car to the czech side of the mountains to see the Prebisch-Door. For this we had a 2 km walk up to the side through the forrest (perfect air and very relaxed). Then we went back and we took a bus for a short ride to a restaurant for lunch. It was very delicious after the walking and hiking, a great stop to releax. Then we walked through the forrest for a boat-trip. The walk was stunning, because of the nature. The boat-ride was great and funny. And in the end we went by car back home. In total a great tour, well balanced by Jan (super friendly, informativ, great company)
A well guided tour from the moment I was collected from my hotel until I was dropped back at the hotel. Excellent value with every need included. The Sandstone mountains were amazing and the Czech Falcons nest and gorge well worth the hike up hill. Lunch had an extensive menu and was most enjoyable. I would point out that you need to be fairly fit as there was a 2 Km uphill walk to the Falcons nest and my phone recorded the equivalent of 50 flights of stairs. But the stone arch and view at the top made the effort worth while.
My tour was with Jana and she did an outstanding job. The scenery was amazing and the food was actually really good at the local restaurant. We even had beer at the top of the mountain after the climb to the natural bridge. The boat ride was just ok and the hike up to the natural bridge was pretty tough. So just be prepared if you are older or weak. If not, definitely sign up for this and get ready for a great day in nature. It is well worth the money!
It was a good trip, perfect time management, skip the line entrance to the tourist attractions, and we were able to see and discover so many places in one day, which would be impossible to do alone. The views are stunning. And the whole organizing company employees were friendly and easy going, arising questions were solved immediately and the whole tour was organized on a high professional level
This was a very authentic local experience and not at all touristy. It was helpful to have some knowledge of German, although the guide had enough English to make it also an enjoyable experience without being able to speak German. There was a surprising amount of wine consumed, and very little hiking- just a gentle stroll from one drinking spot to another!
