Full description
The tour begins at the first light of the sun as you walk through a maze of narrow streets while the town is still sleeping. Departing from the main entrance gate next to Amerling Fountain, the first stop is for the magnificent view at Fort Lovrijenac where you’ll get an introduction to its rich history. The walk continues over the shiny main street Stradun that you can only see empty this early in the morning. Get a real feel for its beauty and hear about the many legends and curiosities to get a more picturesque presentation of the city’s history. Using side streets known mainly by the locals, the tour covers all the highlights of the city including St Blaise's Church and Dubrovnik Cathedral. Take the opportunity to experience the life of the citizens living in the Old Town before the tour finishes, just as the crowds start to emerge.

Marcella was excellent. So passionate about Croatian history and its relevance to Dubrovnik sightseeing. Small group format keeps the guide approachable and easily navigates any crowds. Well, worth getting up early before the crowds descend unto Dubrovnik from the cruise ships.

Anna was a great guide, full of interesting facts about Dubrovnik and happy to answer all sorts of questions. My husband and I really enjoyed the tour. A great way to get an overview of the city's history and how the modern city works. She gave great suggestions for other activities too. Would recommend highly.

Jelena gave a highly informative and enjoyable account of the amazing history and people of Dubrovnik in just 90 minutes! This is the second tour we have taken with this company and it will provide any first time visitor with a brief but necessary overview of a first trip to a city.
