My sister and I booked the overnight tour to Mount Ijen and had the most AMAZING time. Everything was incredibly organised from the booking confirmation, organising our hotel pickup all the way to getting us to the hike and bringing us back in one piece. Our driver, Fafa, was so lovely and we had great conversation during the 4 hour car ride. He made sure we got to the ferry safely and that we knew exactly who was picking us up on the other end. Once we arrived in Java, our tour guide was there waiting for us with a huge smile. Fahmi was an absolute legend and we could not have asked for a better tour guide to get us up and down the mountain. Fahmi had great knowledge of the area and let us have plenty of rest breaks on the way up. He went above and beyond to make sure we had some awesome photos and even made us a little video of the best highlights of the trip. Would 1000% recommend booking through this team and having Fafa and Fahmi as your driver and guide. We can’t wait to return!

The tour was very well organised. Our driver picked Sopleg picked us up well on time. The drive to the starting point including the ferry crossing was long but passed quickly. Sopleg gave us a lot detail about the area and was able to answer all questions we had about Balinese culture. At the starting point we were met by Anton our guide for the hike. The hike up was about 2 hours on a easy path with a few steep sections. Anton then led us into the crater, which is more challenging to climb. He provided a lot background information about Ijen and the sulphur mining. We had plenty of time to see the blue flames and the acidic lake. After the easier descend in daylight we had breakfast at a relaxed restaurant. Overall the trip was very exhausting due to the lack of sleep, but our guides and drivers tried to make it as pleasant as they could. If I had more time I would potentially do the longer trip with Bromo from the same provider.

Magical experience of 2 days to visit the two volcanoes Mount Ijen and Mount Bromo, this remains the best experience of our trip. The journey is long because you will have a lot of car travel but you will not regret it. The climb of Mount Ijen in the middle of the night (2h in the morning, 3km including 2km of pure climb and 1km of flat) then the descent to the crater to admire the blue flames and then the ascent during sunrise, the view is Breathtaking. Thanks to our guide Budi who was incredibly kind. The next day, departure at 3am, we admired the sunrise on a viewpoint with Mount Bromo, magnificent, then jeep ride to Mount Bromo to start the climb (which is easier than Mount Bromo). ijen). In short, everything was perfect. Don't hesitate, go for it!

Fami and Made Cheng were great guides! We were able to see the blue fire, sulfur mines, and watch the sun rise over the blue lake and mountainous background. We ended with a local Indonesian breakfast. Would recommend this to anyone active who is looking for a unique adventure during their time in Indonesia

The hike starts at 2am, by dark, and it lasts aprox 5h (3h to go and 2h back). You can rent warm jacket and buy gloves in the coffee shop at the start. This is a very demanding hike (not just a regular walk in the nature), you literally go from stone to stone in the last 30 min.
