we had a very charismatic and entertaining guide called Angus (apparently he's the best one or so we've heard [from him]) and it is true! we had a blast and found out many interesting historic facts about Edinburgh's cemetaries, Parliament and witchy era. Even though it was raining cats and dogs we barely noticed it in the warm and lighthearted atmosphere of their walking group. (PS ask him about his Irn Bru Tattoo ;) )
