Excellent - tops the Edinburgh Dungeons with tangy historical flavour

A friend and I were working in Edinburgh over the weekend. Unlike myself, he isn't into crime, gruesome murders or history. I suggested the walking tour for our last night, having been so impressed with the Adam Lyall experience back in 2016. My friend was outstanded by the performance they gave us and I found it better than before. He also found the history interesting which was a bonus! The experience dates back to 1985, a role which has been passed down from student-to-student is still going strong. £10 per person isn't much for a walking tour in Edinburgh (including a book to take away), there are plenty in the city doing Harry Potter and other histories but none have as much entertainment value as this. It's both funny and scary in equal measure. Would strongly recommend if you're a tourist, sightseer or just looking for something different to the usual spiel. My aunt recommended this to me and now I'm making my recommendation to whoever's reading this.

Fun night of history and scares all in one package (not too scary though just fun!) ...well worth the money and can’t wait to read the book. Guide and sidekick (don’t know how he ran up and down stairs and slopes without keeling over) were brilliant...all good fun and entertaining all the way .... give it a go

We really enjoyed this tour - really informative, interactive and “dead” fun! Adam was a great guide and we even got a little book with more info for free :) really recommend it - learnt some pretty gruesome facts and stories but with good humour - thank you, from Charlotte and Adam :)
