Full description
Explore the beauty of Scotland’s Highlands on a 12-hour scenic driving tour by comfortable coach. Following a hotel pick-up in central Edinburgh, you will head towards Stirling, catching views of the Castle and Wallace Monument. Continue towards Callander, and stop for morning coffee, and the chance to meet “Hamish the Hairy Coo.” Head northwards to the Highlands over Rannoch Moor, until you reach the dark, brooding Pass of Glencoe, where you will stop to learn the haunting story of the famous massacre of 1692. After crossing Loch Leven at Ballachulish, stop for lunch in the Fort William area, then follow the course of the Caledonian Canal up the Great Glen to Fort Augustus on Loch Ness. Here, you have the option to cruise on the loch for approximately 1 hour, or relax in the tranquil village on the banks of the loch. After Loch Ness you will head South East and take in magnificent views of Loch Laggan. You should catch a quick view of the magnificent Blair Castle, home of the Dukes of Atholl for over 700 years, before making a stop in picturesque Pitlochry, a delightful Victorian resort town. Then head south through the Kingdom of Fife, past Perth and over the Forth Road Bridge alongside the amazing Forth Bridge before arriving back in Edinburgh.

Brandon our driver for the tour on August 26th had a lot of knowledge about the area and always gave information about interesting places early on and then showed them on the route! The highlight was the meeting with Honey and Hamish for two Highlands cows! The boat trip on Loch Ness is highly recommended! Brendon also had very good inside tips for lunch break or probably the best ice cream I've ever tasted whiskey! All in all, I would book this tour again at any time!

Fascinating experience! We had the trip on the 3rd of July the weather and the sceneries were amazing. Our tour guide Brendan was awesome and quite knowledgable about the history and with a good sense of humour. He pointed out all points of interest backed with the history. A trip to remember.

I booked this trip to see the Highlights and the Loch Ness . We were picked up from my hotel. The driver/ tour guide his name is Duggee, such a nice guy, real pride Scots man, very knowledgeable about the history. He played beautiful Scottish music, and the Scottish anthem. We had a couple of stop for a quick breakfast and lunch, Duggee always recommended where we get a nice coffee or an ice cream etc. I do recommend this tour operator and Duggee as the tour guide, really nice , very enjoyable and worth every penny.
