Interesting and insightful tour including history of the city as well as brewing in Edinburgh. Beers were selected based on what we said we liked, leveraging our guides encyclopedic knowledge of local breweries. Our guide talked us through the tasting process to enhance how we experienced each of the beers. It was awesome, highly recommended.

Absolutely fantastic tour, Sara has an incredible knowledge of beer, beer tasting and its history in Edinburgh. We sampled a number of local beers in a few pubs of a ranging variety, learning how they're made differently and what makes each unique. Would thoroughly recommend to both long-time drinkers and newbies alike. (Recommend a good lunch before hand as you'll probably stay in the final pub until it closes!)

Some may think that 40ish pounds is expensive, but considering it takes two hours and it consists 4 places and 8 beers (not full pints, obviously) it really isn't. Tour takes you away from Royal Mile to side street pubs ond on the way there are some history lessons as well about the Edinburgh, Scotland and beer. Variety of beers (or actual brands) for tasting probably varies, but I guess an IPA, some dark beers and exotic sour beer are always on the menu.
