Wine Tasting & Winery Tours

This tour meets on the iconic Royal Mile and you'll have a short walk to one of the supplier's outstanding whisky venues Over the next two hours, drink 4 outstanding single malt scotch whiskys taken from the 4 major whisky producing regions of Scotland. These whiskys will range from the relatively delicate and subtle flavors of the Lowlands to the bold and robust tastes from Islay. You will also be given tasting cards giving notes on each of the whiskys that you sample. During the tour, experience some traditional storytelling and explore the significance of whisky to the Scottish identity. The entire upper floor of the venue reserved, so there is plenty of space and privacy to conduct the story orientated evening.

Step inside Edinburgh's 56 North Distillery to sample and discover how award-winning gins are made. Begin by entering Scotland's oldest dedicated gin bar with over 300 gins on the shelf. You will be welcomed with a South Loch Gin and Fever-Tree tonic and introduced to the beautiful copper stills that produce all of the South Loch Gin. Savor your gin and tonic whilst learning all about botanicals, production, bottling, and gin production. Then, sample three gins made at the South Loch Gin distillery with tasting notes and insights into the research and development behind them. Finish off by enjoying a South Loch Gin cocktail made by a dedicated bar team.

Immerse yourself in the world of herbs and gin on this guided tour and tasting experience at Edinberg’s The Secret Herb Garden and The Secret Garden Distillery. Explore the garden, on-site drying room, and glasshouse before trying 6 100% natural gins.  Start your tour in the garden, a 7.5-acre area where you will find over 600 herb and floral varieties available to see and purchase. Witness all the botanicals that are lovingly cultivated with no chemicals whatsoever. Learn all about the botanicals that go into The Secret Garden gins alongside your guide. Talk through the importance of the botanicals and how they are hand-harvested and dried at natural temperatures to maintain their medicinal properties.  With over a thousand juniper bushes, complemented by over 600 herbs and floral varieties such as scented lemon verbena, geraniums, irises, and roses, the gin garden is the ultimate tribute to nature’s magic.  Curated by The Secret Garden’s founder, renowned Scottish herbologist Hamish Martin, the garden encapsulates his boundless passion and knowledge. After the garden, the tour continues to the on-site drying room and glasshouse before ending in the Gin Lounge, where you’ll get to taste 4 core gins and 2 mystery gins.
