Full description
Depart Edinburgh on an air-conditioned luxury coach (max 57 seats). Pass Stirling Castle and hear your tour guide tell tales of William Wallace and Robert the Bruce and the bloody battles fought out on these lands. First, arrive at Callander town, nestled at the foot of the Trossachs. Next, drive through Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park. Your Scottish guide will tell you about Rob Roy MacGregor, the infamous Highlander. Follow in the footsteps of James Bond ("Skyfall") and Harry Potter ("Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban") as you travel to the stunning Highland valley of Glencoe. Hear the eerie story of the Clan MacDonald massacre of 1692. Travel through Fort William, home to Ben Nevis, which at 4,409 feet is the highest mountain of the British Isles. Arrive on the south bank of Loch Ness in the charming village of Fort Augustus, where lots of cafes, shops, and restaurants offer a relaxing lunch. Stroll along the banks of the Caledonian Canal, then experience Loch Ness on an optional 1-hour boat cruise. Try to catch a glimpse of "Nessie," the legendary Loch Ness Monster. Admire the impressive Commando Memorial at Spean Bridge with views of the Nevis Range. Enter the Cairngorms National Park and discover "Monarch of the Glen" country. Drive along Loch Laggan before the roads climb above the Grampian Mountains. Travel over the Pass of Drumochter, linking the northern and southern Central Highlands. Experience the majesty of a mountain pass created by glacial activity during successive Ice Ages. Finally, stop briefly in the beautiful Victorian town of Pitlochry before heading back to Edinburgh city center, arriving at approximately 8:30 PM.

What an amazing tour! We were really conflicted about whether we should book this or not, and were considering perhaps renting a car instead, but I couldn’t be more relieved we opted for the tour as it was so fantastic. Even though it’s a long day of driving, you have stops so frequently that you’re never driving uninterrupted for very long, and the time absolutely flies by because your guide is entertaining you the entire time. We learned SO much about the history of the places we saw and passed through, it was absolutely fascinating. And our guide Scott was fantastic, so entertaining and really brought the experience to life. We packed a lot of snacks and our own lunch which I would recommend, as I was never hangry and in November you're never sure what will be open food wise. Plus, then you can spend the entire time at stops enjoying exploring the area. But you must try the whisky ice cream! It was amazing. I’d also highly recommend booking onto the Loch Ness boat tour.

What a great day. our Driver and Guide was absolutely fantastic. Holly was very informative on the History of every stop we made and told us what we were seeing as we passed every point of history. Holly also had a playlist that complemented what we was seeing to add to the experience. All the stops on the day trip was filled with history and stories. A few games and sing alongs on the bus were a nice touch too. Would definitely recommend.

What an incredible tour! The guide was very friendly and funny and told different stories and myths about Scotland throughout the trip, both to and from, so the experience couldn't have been better. With a lot of humor, we discovered a beautiful and magical part of the Highlands that will remain in our memories forever. In general, the trip was really smooth, we had many stops for lunch/bathroom breaks and everything was so well explained that it is impossible not to recommend this company and tour. Absolutely worthwhile, the experience was truly fantastic.
