Spring was a great guide with fantastic clear English. It was a little difficult to hear what was being said around the market because of the bustle and size of the group. My daughter (11) and I had a great day. To travel to the course by boat was nice and the bamboo boats were a fun thing to do with my daughter. We caught 7 crabs! The cooking course was hands on which was brilliant. I liked that you ate each course as it was cooked rather than everything at the end. An enjoyable day and highly recommend.
My husband and I attended the cooking class without much expectations and were highly surprised by how fun this tour turned out to be! Anh picked us up at our hotel and brought us to the market, introducing us to some local fruits and herbs. Anh is very friendly and helped us took a few photos during the tour. Basket boat ride and crab fishing with the locals were warm and fun. The cooking lesson was great and efficient. A recipe book was provided at the end of the class too!
I had a great experience on this tour, from the market visit, to the bamboo boat ride & of course the cooking lesson. Our guide was very helpful & full of useful information, even sharing the locations of her favourite restaurants to try cao Lau, bahn mi etc. The cooking lesson was good and we were given a copy of the recipes to take with us. I will definitely cook them again at home, although I may have to adapt them slightly if I can't find rice paper easily!
We really enjoyed this tour! Our guide was great. I did think the market tour would be a little more in depth, but it was still interesting. The basket boat ride was so much fun! And the cooking class, definitely the highlight. The setting was nice, and it was so fun getting to learn and cook various dishes. We've since cooked them at home and it was delicious!
pick up and drop off. quick market visit to buy supplies and discuss items. the round boat ride, though short in distance, was excellent. the paddlers had a lot of fun showing us how they would spin and manoeuvre. the cooking was great, very inclusive and hands on, the food was delicious and we left with the recipe's.
