Bay of Islands Wine & Craft Beer Tour Each tour has a maximum of 11 passengers. The tour starts at the Paihia I-site, pickup time is 12.30 pm, we also pickup in Kerikeri (BP Service Station) at 1.00pm. Our first stop is the Fat Pig Vineyard which is one of the older vineyards in the Kerikeri area. The range includes Fat Pig Bubbles 2023, Fat Pig White Diamond 2023, Fat Pig Rosé 2023, Fat Pig Sauvignon Blanc 2023. Our next stop is Marsden Estate, which was started by the McIvor family some 20 years ago. Here customers can enjoy six wine tastings plus a platter lunch in the relaxed atmosphere of its courtyard which overlooks the lake and vines. From here we move onto the Phat House Brewery in Haruru Falls. Founded in 2015, Caroline and Rob the owners are passionate about every stage of the brewing process. Their beers are made from natural ingredients, carefully crafted, unfiltered, unpasteurised, and preservative free. The brewery offers a wide range of beers from which customers can sample up to four different products of their choice. From here we take customers back to either Kerikeri or the Paihia I-site.

3. Shore Excursion to Historic Kerikeri including Lunch

We pick up customers from the Waitangi Wharf and return them there. This is the place where the Cruise Ship Tenders take the passengers to and at the end of the tour we drop clients here for the return passage to the ship. The first stop on this tour takes us to the breath-taking Rainbow Falls. There are three stunning viewing platforms are at the top of the Rainbow Falls, all of which offer great photo opportunities. Our next stop is the Makana Chocolate Factory to sample their hand made chocolates and time to visit the adjacent Kauri Workshop which has crafts and collectibles for sale. We then move on to the Kerikeri Mission Station which was established in 1819. There are two significant buildings, “The Stone Store” built in 1832, originally used as a Missionary Society warehouse and the adjacent “Kemp House”, New Zealand’s oldest building completed in 1821/22 by missionary carpenters and Maori sawyers. While we are at Mission Station, we will visit the historic Plough & Feather pub, where clients will have lunch along with a glass of locally made beer or wine (all included in the price). Our last stop is the Waitangi Look out. Here customers can take photos of their ship and Russell.

Our tour guide was knowledgeable and caring. He made sure to make everyone comfortable and still giving us the time in each spot. The falls were pretty and the stone house and the Kemp House were both interesting. Lunch was at a nice outdoor pub. Food and beer was great

A must do experience & book for lunch at one of the wineries. we met lovely people and our driver was brilliant. will definitely do this again if Im back in Picton.

We had a great afternoon and really enjoyed the wine. We enjoyed all of the day’s events.
